- They sell out completely for entire venues
- Profit for all tickets is pretty similar and easy to track
-
The advantages of Seat tickets.
- The entire show does not have to sell out
- People are willing to pay more for better seats
- More potential money to be made
- More control over pricing
These general guidelines should be considered before buying to ensure you are knowledgeable about the tickets you buy and how you can expect to sell and profit from them.
Explanation of General Admission Tickets Advantages:
- In a general admission show all tickets go on sale at the time. The tickets can be bought and directly uploaded into Stubhub without organization of distractions because they are all the same. Each ticket grants entry to the event and there are no other variables to consider.
- They are all the same, so on Stubhub, they are all of equal value. When pricing your tickets, you can simply price them based on the prices of others, or any other pricing strategy. There is no need to consider the value of each ticket because they do not differ.
- General admission shows usually sell out evenly since all tickets are alike. Unlike seated events where certain areas can sell out and other might not. This makes general admission tickets easier to buy.
- Profit from general admission tickets is evenly spread out since they all sell for the same price most often. This helps with tracking.
Explanation of Seated Tickets Advantages:
- For seated tickets, which vary in quality and location, the entire show does not have to sell out. This allows smart buyers to purchase events that don’t sell out but still make money in resale because of their quality, such as front rows seats.
- In seated events people are willing to pay more for their seats because they know they will have a guaranteed spot closer to the performer they enjoy. They are willing to pay for their resevered spot unlike general admission.
- Seats have an overall greater potential to make more money because they usually sell for higher prices due to exclusive seat location and other factors.
- Having good seats allows you to control the resale price of your seat more closely. The seat is specifically owned only by you so you can determine how valuable they are. If you have good $40 tickets directly behind $70 tickets you can raise the price to $70 if you so decide.
