You may want to utilize Ebay and Craigslist when selling your tickets to reach a larger market. I recommend only using these sites when selling seated tickets – if you are selling general admission tickets it would be much more efficient to just go through Stubhub or Ticketmaster. You can try selling your GENADM tickets in the city’s local craigslist, although it is hard to sell them for above face value there.

Nevertheless, if you use these marketplaces then there are some listing tips you want to keep in mind. When creating your listing title, it is important to stuff it with information so that it comes up when someone searches it. In your listing’s title, include:

  • Event/Artist name
  • City
  • Date
  • Number of tickets

In your actual listing, make sure you include all bits of information that they might ever possibly need. This means you need to include:

  • Event/Artist name
  • Venue
  • City and State
  • Date
  • Number of tickets
  • Section (make sure you clarify if it is general admission!)
  • Row number/seat number (if applicable)
  • Venue seating chart (if applicable – so they can find where the seats are immediately on your sales page)
  • IMAGES – this is the biggest selling point you have! Throw up a couple pictures of the artist or crowd to get the potential buyer excited to purchase your tickets.

If this is an Ebay post, you will be able to send the pdf tickets to the buyer right after they purchase it. If it is a Craigslist post, make sure that after the buyer contacts you, you clarify that you will be emailing the tickets to them.
